Flame is a network of African sisters online committed to strengthening the capacity of women through the use of ICTs to lobby, advocate and participate in the Beijing +5 process regionally and globally.

The Flamme project ran from July 1999 - June 2000 and provided women and
women's NGOs in Africa with information about the Dakar and Beijing Platforms
for Action assessment process in Africa, information about the UN and regional process,
NGOs input and linkages with other regional review processes. The Flame Project was a
joint initiative of APC-Africa-Women and FEMNET. This web site is now a valuable archive but is no longer updated. Here we provide links to information on the Beijing+10 process and to the debates.
